Delegate Todd Gilbert has introduced three bills to the Virginia General Assembly to address illegal immigration, including one designed to determine the cost taxpayers incur for every illegal child enrolled in public schools. The 3 bills will range from law enforcement to gangs and public assistance.
Gilbert's House Bill 1775 would require someone registering a child in a public school to provide documentation of the immigration status or citizenship of that child. He said it's not meant to keep a list of illegal students or keep people from enrolling in school but to find a cost associated with educating them.
I think that it's very unfair for tax payers to be stuck with paying for illegal immigrants. They are given the opportunity to become a real citizen and they should take that opportunity. It's not fair that they dont have to pay taxes or anything like that if the want to live like an American they should be treated like one too.
This has to do with goverment because our country really has a problem with illegal immigrants. We need to figure out some way to prevent it or atleast reduce it.
I somewhat agree. I think that any government related facility has a right to know if someone is an illegal alien or not. The word illegal obviously means NOT legal, so don't allow them to get away with it. It's not fair for american citizens to be made to pay for illegal people who shouldn't even be here in the first place. I understand that receiving the status of citizen is hard, i've heard that it takes years. But that shouldn't keep someone from trying to be a citizen if they really want to be in this country that bad.
ReplyDeleteHere's what I think on illegal immigrants.. Become legal or get out. There's already too much going on with the US without that issue,we need to limit and be strict on this kind of stuff.
ReplyDeletei agree its unfair for us to have to pay for them through our taxes. i mean if you want to live in the united states, then you need to be a legal citizen. if you cant do that then yeah you should just get out. we dont need all the extra drama with illegal immagrants.
ReplyDeleteI agree, it's not fair to the citizens for aliens to come here take our jobs and opportunities from our people. America needs to become stricter with the illegal polices and not let them get away with it.
